Arriving as a newcomer to Los Angeles, Prospex Park was stirred by the city’s blend of wonder and peculiarity. It became their creative outlet, born from the dichotomy of familiarity and foreignness that characterised LA. With a deep-seated interest in quintessential American motifs; the suburban landscape, the frontier ethos, and the nation’s fascination with UFO, Prospex Park interpreted these themes through the eyes of an outsider. The project served as both a means of assimilation into their new environment and a method of processing their experiences. Recognising AI’s capacity as an outsider attempting to decipher a world engrained in its users’ consciousness, they embraced it as an ideal tool for their exploration.
